Upon completion of the course, candidates will be able to:
Apply the WSH Policies and Procedures
Manage WSH Roles and Responsibilities
Determine Non-Compliances, Unsafe Work Conditions and Practices at Workplace
Facilitate the Compliance Inspections in Work Area with HACCP
Understand the Importance of Safety Signs and Hazard Symbols at workplace
Explain the Importance of Risks and Control Measures to Stakeholders
Identify WSH Control Measures, Risk Assessment and PPE
Identify the Correct PPE and Safety Device for Safe Operations in Accordance with the Organisational Procedures

• Preferably Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLE) or equivalent; or at least 3 WSQ Statements of Attainment in Workplace Literacy or Numeracy (WPLN) at Level 1 or 2 (eg under ESS, ESS)
• Participants should at the very minimum have the ability to converse, read & write in English
To ensure that all students have sufficient time to learn and practice their skills, we have allocated 1 teacher per 20 students maximum. (1:20)
The duration of this course will be held for 16 Hours
Classroom Facilitated Training Duration – 15 hours Assessment Duration – 1 hour
Training delivery is a combination of lectures, case study, group discussion and self-reflection.
Assessment consists of case study and written assessment.
Upon successful completion of the programme, candidate will be awarded with WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Workplace Safety and Health for Food and Beverages Operations by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)

For training conducted outside working hours, AP funding is given to the employers to defray the overtime pay that was paid to their employees. Hence to qualify for AP funding, employers must have in place a Human Resource (HR) policy which provides for the payment of overtime pay to employees for these training hours and pay their employees overtime pay for these hours, in accordance with the HR policy. | ||
